Wallpaper is no longer a #throwbackthursday. It can be tricky applying wallpaper but the finished look can’t even be compared to paint. From the walls to the ceilings, wallpaper can go just about anywhere, in any room.

While some are still afraid of the “permanent-cy”of wallpaper (hey, we totally made that word up, but you get it), we are going to go ahead and be cliché for a second and say #Y-O-L-O! If you love it and it makes you happy, go for it! Or if you’re still scared, just use wallpaper in a small space, like a bathroom. We think loving your space for a few years with wallpaper is worth spending a day or two to take it off down the road.

1 Wallpaper, 2 different looks:

This is a dreamy entryway and sets the mood for the rest of this home: happiness. The birds virtually fly with you upstairs to where I’m sure there’s other colorful and fun décor waiting.

The wallpaper below is the exact same as the wallpaper in the entry above, but a different color. Both are equally beautiful and set different moods in the home. The entry is bright and fun, while the wallpaper in the bathroom creates a calm and relaxing environment.

Dark & Bold:

While this wallpaper may seem dark and bold it works because the rest of the bathroom is bright and white. This wallpaper adds a cozy little sink space in the corner without overwhelming the entire space.

Funky Florals:

How fun is this?! This exciting print is in singer/songwriter Shawn Colvin’s master bedroom. Her whole home is full of bright colors and Knick knacks she’s picked up in different countries throughout the years creating a one-of-a-kind space.

Paradise:

This bohemian chic tropical oasis bedroom would make anyone happy when they wake up. The light from the large window reflects the gold shimmer in the wallpaper adding sparkle to the wall. Even though there is a lot of color going on, it doesn’t seem like “too much” because they kept the rest of the space neutral with white walls, curtains, ceilings and light wood floors.

Polka Dots:

Have I told you how much I love black and white dots? Then to add gold on top of it… major swooning going on over here. The mixed metals works perfect in this space and the flooring settles down the busy walls. Johnny Ray would kill me if I transformed our master bath into this, so this girl will just keep on dreaming.
